There are a wealth of activities available to the visitor in the surrounding area with great walking and climbing, fascinating caverns to explore and the beautiful North Wales coastline less than half an hour’s drive away. A character cottage that is sure to delight at any time of the year. An ideal holiday base all year round. Hen Aelwyd yr Urdd is also dog friendly and has free Wifi.
The cottage is away from the main thoroughfare, and with no passing traffic makes it a ‘perfect getaway from it all’ location. There are some fantastic walks, lakes & waterfalls from the cottage, and the area is great for fishing and golfing. The Pengwern community village pub and shop is only a 2 minute walk from the cottage.
The slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is only 3 miles away and offers an array of eating establishments, pubs, shops, chemist, garage & leisure centre/swimming pool. Blaenau Ffestiniog is also the home to the World Famous Ffestiniog Narrow Gauge Steam railway which links to the harbour town of Porthmadog.

There is also a condiment set of Salt, Pepper & Vinegar, and a small selection of assorted herbs & spices.
