Manod View is a charming stone cottage on the fringe of the old slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, famous for the Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam railway. Having been refurbished recently and totally renovated 5 years ago, Manod View offers spacious, comfortable holiday accommodation. A perfect base for couples, friends and families wishing to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty. We welcome a maximum of 2 well behaved dogs.
Situated close to a road and amongst some dramatic scenery in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park Manod View is ideally situated for exploring. Only a relatively short walk away and an even shorter drive! from the Ffestiniog Steam Train railway station in the town itself.
The cottage boasts welcoming accommodation with a comfortable sitting room with French doors leading into a dining room and a well appointed and equipped kitchen. The sitting room has a delightful period fireplace with gas ‘living flame’ coal effect fire, creating a very cosy relaxing atmosphere, a real ‘home from home’.
Surrounded by wonderful mountains, Manod View is perfect for lovely scenic walks, downhill mountain biking, or enjoying outdoor pursuits such as canoeing and climbing at Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre, bike trails at Coed-y-Brenin, one of the best mountain bike centres in Britain, discovering the magnificent slate caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog, or visiting bustling Porthmadog with its individual shops, inviting eateries and colourful marina. With the enormous beach at Black Rock Sands, the picturesque National Trust Bodnant Gardens and the majesty of Mount Snowdon all within easy reach,
A perfect, all year round holiday retreat for couples or smaller families seeking a real get away from it all.
